Support Clients on Their End-of-Life Journey with SLEC’s Palliative Care Courses

By 2030, one in every four Singaporeans will be aged 65 years and above, driving up greater demand for palliative care. There has also been greater focus on palliative care in the Community Care sector. The experience of caring for our loved ones’ end-of-life journeys differs greatly among different caregivers, highlighting the difference good palliative care can make.
As an AIC-appointed Learning Institute, St Luke’s Eldercare (SLEC) offers courses that specialise in clinical care, such as dementia, rehabilitation and wound care.
In 2022, SLEC also offer a series of palliative care training to the sector, to raise the level of palliative care provided for patients who require it. Learners will get to learn at their own pace through our stacking modules
The series of palliative courses gives participants insight into the foundational knowledge and skills to care for clients with life-limiting illnesses, the multiple facets of palliative care and the integration of the patient’s family into the patient’s care.
